Bepanthen Eye Drops 10ml

“Bepanthen Eyes” Eye Drops – the Bepanthen drops have a soothing calming effect over time, they contain no preservatives and are suitable for people wearing contact lenses as well. The Bepanthen Eye Drops are composed of natural and unique ingredients, Hyaluronic Acid (0.15%), and B5 Pro-vitamin (Dexpanthenol) (2%).

The Hyaluronic Acid is a substance which is produced within the body and is found in almost all connective tissue, bones and eyes. The presence of Hyaluronic Acid in the tears substitute constitutes an active ingredient with high viscosity which prolongs and improves the duration of the drops’ adherance to the eye. It restores the mucous membrane in the eyes. These qualities guarantee the stability and durability of the tear layer without disrupting visual acuity. In addition, Hyaluronic Acid can bond with large quantities of water, a property which also gives it a moisture function. One gram of Hyaluronic Acid can adsorb about six liters of water!

Pro vitamin B5 (soothing and moisturising) – Dexpanthenol is a B5 vitamin. When using locally, the Dexpanthenol splits rapidly and to a great extent into a Pantothenic Acid and to its active biological substance, coenzyme A. The Panthenol encourages not only granulation but also the growth of the epithelium, but it can also adsorb moisture.

In addition, it has an anti-itching, anti-inflammatory effect and encourages the regrowth of the epithelium on the cornea. Dexpanthenol pro-vitamin B5 can bind a large quantity of water, refreshing on the one hand, and supports the ability of the Hyaluronic Acid to store moisture on the other. Thanks to Dexpanthenol, the Bepanthen drops create a high level of moisture and therefore constitutes a soothing therapeutic substance. The connection of the two is what enables the eye to remain moist over time.
